Our plans for expanding the Center's activities include eight new programs: To include the Haifa community into the Shirley and Norman Sutton Israel Forum on Medicine and Halacha To establish an international hotline for immediate halachic consultation, in conjunction with an international patient referral system. To prepare an educational curriculum in Jewish bioethics for Israeli and foreign medical schools. To create an internship program for medical students. To replicate abroad The Shirley and Norman Sutton Israel Forum on Medicine and Halacha. To prepare scholarly articles by staff researchers for publication in local and international journals. To develop in-service bioethics training programs for medical professionals. To fund a building program so that all the Center's activities can be housed under one roof.
