The Jerusalem Center for Research has four main goals:
To offer halachic guidance and rulings to rabbis, medical professionals (both religious and secular), and laypersons concerning all areas of Jewish bioethics.
To sensitize medical professionals to the halachic imperative felt by families during times of illness.
To educate the public about the role of Halacha in medicine and to help guide families in times of crisis, e.g., when coping with terminal illness, genetic disorders or infertility.
To educate the next generation of Torah scholars to carry out the Center's work and grapple with future bioethical dilemmas.
